The module constitutes a double speedometer, ie it measures the speed of rotation of a wheel by counting pulses generated by an infrared transmitter / receiver.
The operation is based on a LED that generates a beam of light, this wave affects a wheel that has in the periphery a series of holes that can pass the light.
The light beam that reaches the receiver produces a waveform (alternating 1 and 0) whose frequency depends on the speed of rotation, so the number of pulses per second is quickly translatable.
It can measure up to 1000 rpm.
5V operating voltage.
